Volunteer @ Shir Madness

The Shir Madness festival is a community event organised by Sydney Jewish Music Festival Incorporated (Shir Madness) a non-profit incorporated association. We are looking for enthusiastic people to volunteer who will engage with the community and bring their personality to the festival. The festival runs for a day, and showcases Jewish talent from around Australia.  There will be roughly 30 bands on stage through the day.

 What we need:

  • Help on the day of 18th September (or bump in the night before)
  • Most shifts are 3-4 hrs. Some are 2 hrs, and some up to 8 hours
  • Attend the Volunteers briefing, sometime in the week prior
  • Volunteers are also needed in the lead up for postering, flyering and a number of other tasks

What you get:

  • A free pass to the Shir Madness Festival
  • A limited edition Shir Madness T-shirt
  • A chance to make new friends, be part of a great community event, and get some Event experience

 Roles required:

  • Artist liaison (including driving, parking, instrument storage, guiding etc)
  • Front of house (including ticket sales, disability aid, money reconciliation, volunteer desk, fitting wristbands & ushering)
  • Media; MCs, photographers and videographers (generally by invitation only)
  • Technical and Site (including site management, stage management, lighting, sound, bump in & out)
  • Pre event including postering, flyering and other general tasks

It's a great opportunity to learn some new skills, meet some new people and have a great time enjoying the festival.
