Programs - Travel Arrangements
GENERAL INFORMATION FOR AUJS PARTICIPANTS
Booking flights
Participants on any AUJS program are invited to either book on our FBI Travel secure online registration portal or individually with our dedicated FBI Travel staff. Groups flights for Academy and Taglit need to be booked via our online portal. Participants wishing to book flights for any other program are welcome to use our services.

Participants on Academy and Taglit are required to travel to Israel on the AUJS Israel Programs departing group flights.
Changing Flights

Participants wishing to amend return flights will need to contact the FBI Groups department.

There will be costs associated with amending flights. A fee from $55 for date changes outside the group flight will be levied by FBI Travel.

Surcharges by respective airlines and additional taxes will be advised on a per application basis.

FBI will do their utmost to help and change bookings but please note that all amendments are subject to flight availability.
Changing Flights in Israel

Participants on programs will need to send an email to our groups depatrtmet requesting date or routing changes. Please contact Vickys@fbitravel.com.au requesting date or route changes.

Fees and additional costs may apply to these changes.

Please note changes over the peak season ( December January) may be very difficult to confirm.

Passports
-
Each passport must be valid and correct details given to FBI Travel either via our online portal at time of registration or at time of booking with our office. This is the responsibility of the traveller.

Tickets will not be issued until passport details are advised and confirmed.

If participants are renewing or applying for a new passport, please submit to AUJS a birth certificate or old passport that can verify your full name. A copy will need to be sent to FBI Travel.

To travel overseas, all passports will require 6 months of validity after a scheduled date of return.
Important
The following information is relevant to anyone who has Israeli parents, has ever lived in Israel or who
was born in Israel.

By Israeli law, a traveller must enter Israel on an Israeli passport and must have an Israeli Army Exemption.

Detainment is possible in Israeli customs if passengers are not carrying the correct documentation.

To arrange the correct documentation, contact the Israeli Embassy in Canberra. AUJS must be notified through the online application system of any complications or delay.
Visas

Holders of Australians traveling to Israel or Poland do not need to arrange any visas in advance.

For participants of AUJS Aviv, your visas will be extended whilst the program is in Israel. AUJS can give you more information.

Please contact FBI for further details regarding visas if you are traveling on any alternate passport.
Travel Insurance

All participants must purchase travel insurance with FBI Travel when traveling on the group allotted flights.

FBI Travel offer AUJS participants traveling on individual programs special rates on various insurance options

All pre-existing medical conditions must be declared on your travel insurance.

Copies of the insurance policy and pre existing applications will be shown on our web site at time of registration
Tickets

The exact date for collection of tickets will be advised via email.

Participants will be contacted closer to the time with document pickup details.

FBI has 24/7 emergency assistance available. Details will be advised at time of documentation hand out.
