Portable Holocaust Exhibition on Campuses

As part of the 2018 International Holocaust Awareness Campaign, AUJS has partnered with the Sydney Jewish Museum to create a portable Holocaust exhibition. The exhibition will tour university campuses across NSW & VIC throughout the campaign.

The exhibition provides a brief overview of the Holocaust and shares a series of remarkable stories. The exhibition recounts the story of William Cooper, an Aboriginal activist who, with other members of the Yorta Yorta Nation, petitioned the German government in 1938 to stop the persecution of the Jews in Germany. The exhibition also narrates the story of Raoul Wallemberg, a Swedish diplomat who led one of the most extensive and successful rescue efforts during the Nazi era.  The third story recounted by the exhibition is that of Lotte Weis, a Jewish Holocaust survivor of Auschwitz.

The exhibition can be viewed at the following campuses on the following dates:

Melbourne University: Thursday 16 August

Monash Caulfield: Wednesday 22 August

Deakin University: Thursday 23 August
