You are hereby invited to attend the AUJS NSW AGM, 2017.

The 2017 Annual General Meeting for AUJS NSW will take place at 6.00pm on Monday 23rd October 2017 at a location in the eastern suburbs.

What is the AGM? 

At the AGM you can look forward to reports by the 2017 NSW Executive, Constitutional amendments, elections to the NSW Executive, and some delicious snacks and refreshments.

Elections will be held for the following Executive positions (subject to constitutional amendments):

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary and Communications Officer
  • Head of Internal Operations
  • Head of Regional Political Affairs
  • Head of Regional Events and Community
  • Head of Regional Marketing and Campaigns
  • Head of Regional Education, Religion, and Development

Nominees for these positions will be able to make speeches as follows:

  • President – 6 minutes
  • Vice President – 5 minutes
  • All other positions – 4 minutes

The Important Stuff

To nominate for a position, please complete the Executive Nomination Form and send it to the Returning Officer via email. There will be copies at the AGM, however, these will not be accepted later than 7.30pm.

Persons intending to run for an Executive position, or wishing to hold votes, must be a financial member of AUJS NSW or an affiliated campus organization in 2017. Votes will be allocated to campuses according to the formula contained in the AUJS NSW Constitution. See the copy of the current Constitution below.

Any proposed amendments to the Constitution must be submitted in writing to the Returning Officer by 6:30 pm on Sunday 8th October 2017
